First Aid Training Overview

First Aid Essentials: Be Prepared, Save Lives! First Aid involves simple, immediate actions aimed at preserving life, preventing the condition from worsening, and promoting recovery until professional medical help arrives. Basic first aid skills are essential for everyone to learn and can make a significant difference in emergencies.

First Aid Training Course Duration

MCP First Aid Training

First Aid Training Course Content

During this course you will learn:

  • Assess the Scene: Ensure your safety and the safety of others before assisting anyone. Check for hazards and assess the situation before providing aid.
  • Call for Help: If needed, call emergency services immediately. Time is crucial in emergencies, so don’t hesitate to seek professional assistance.
  • ABCs: Check the person’s Airway, Breathing, and Circulation. Ensure their airway is clear, check for breathing, and assess circulation by checking for a pulse.
  • CPR: If the person is not breathing or has no pulse, begin CPR immediately. Perform chest compressions and rescue breaths until help arrives.
  • Stop the Bleed: Control bleeding by applying direct pressure to the wound with a clean cloth or bandage. Elevate the injured limb if possible and continue to apply pressure until bleeding stops.
  • Treat Shock: If the person shows signs of shock (pale skin, rapid pulse, shallow breathing), lay them down, elevate their legs, and cover them with a blanket to keep them warm.
  • Provide Comfort: Reassure the person and keep them calm. Offer comfort and support while waiting for medical assistance to arrive.
